This Hoya lacunosa cultivar glows with warm chartreuse-to-lime foliage, each small, oval leaf marbled in soft yellow patterns that intensify under brighter light—hence the name “Amarillo” (Spanish for yellow). The leaves are gently cupped, slightly succulent, and line tidy vines that can either trail or climb. When mature, it rewards growers with clusters of fuzzy, cream-white flowers that release a sweet, cinnamon-like fragrance at night.

Family: Apocynaceae
Genus: Hoya
Trade name: Hoya lacunosa “Amarillo”

Plant size: 4–5 cm

Plant Care:
Bright, indirect light (brings out the yellow tones), allow the mix to dry about halfway between waterings, 60–80 % humidity, warm temperatures 18–28 °C, use an airy blend of bark, perlite, and sphagnum, fertilize monthly during active growth, and keep peduncles intact so the fragrant blooms can rebloom.
