This Hoya lacunosa cultivar glows with warm chartreuse-to-lime foliage, each small, oval leaf marbled in soft yellow patterns that intensify under brighter light—hence the name “Amarillo” (Spanish for yellow). The leaves are gently cupped, slightly succulent, and line tidy vines that can either trail or climb. When mature, it rewards growers with clusters of fuzzy, cream-white flowers that release a sweet, cinnamon-like fragrance at night.

☀️ Light: Grows best in bright, indirect light, and some varieties can tolerate a few hours of soft morning sun. Avoid harsh afternoon sun to prevent leaf burn.
💧 Watering: Allow the top half of the soil to dry out before watering. Hoyas prefer slightly dry conditions over soggy soil.
💨 Humidity & Temperature: Thrives in moderate to high humidity (50–80%) with warm temperatures between 18–27°C (65–80°F).
🪴 Soil & Potting: Use a well-draining, airy mix (orchid bark, perlite, coco peat). A hanging basket or pot with drainage holes is ideal.
🌱 Growth & Maintenance: Hoyas are slow to moderate growers with vining habits. Many species produce clusters of fragrant, star-shaped flowers once mature. Train them on a trellis, hoop, or hanging basket to encourage natural growth. Do not cut off the spent flower spurs, as Hoyas often re-bloom from the same nodes. Minimal pruning is needed beyond removing damaged leaves.
